Approximate location: Istar is a city. Post Cataclysm: under the Blood Sea of Istar, Pre Cataclysm: same location without the sea on top. It is on the east of Ansalon, southeast of Nordmaar, east of Estwilde and Khur, and north of Balifor and Goodlund.

What happened there: This was the home of the Kingpriest, and this is where he got the Cataclysm started, and got the Blood sea of Istar dumped on it. Post Cataclysm it is possibly a gateway to the abyss (see notes in the abyss).
